Decent. I would stay at the Penthouse again

The penthouse was nice. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else based on the reviews.

Arriving late and still having to wait 30 minutes to check in. It was New Years Eve. There were people not even staying there hovering all over the place. Cold water shower on day 2 but it was fixed. Property itself is a bit run down.

Got plenty of rest before our long flight but found property was an Uber away from most activities

Satisfactory, staff helpful and prompt.

Central location close to international airport and historic city Centre places. Also response was prompt on their contact phone. Safety and security was also good. Privacy was also fair.

Prepare rooms in time (painting) Service guest rooms or supply material to do it (linen, mops, dishwashing soap etc) Wi-Fi connection was zero.

For the location, the comfort, & the price, this is a decent place to stay in Joburg

This hotel is located in the heart of Maboneng on Fox Street, which is very bustling & busy. It’s very convenient as there are lots of shops, bars, & restaurants on this street. This is actually the only street that is safe to walk on around here, as I was warned by the front desk when I checked in not to walk on the other streets parallel to Fox St. There was also a sign in the front to beware of cell phone grabbers. The front desk was very helpful in providing all the information I needed during my stay. My international flight arrived at 6am in Joburg; hence I was super tired, so I really appreciated that I was able to check in early & take a short nap. The room overall was ok… simple but very spacious with a comfy bed. I liked that the big windows allowed a lot of natural light to come in. It was quite chilly when I arrived in Joburg in early June so the little space heater they provided in the room made it more comfortable. The room also has a little kitchenette, though I didn’t use it since I only stayed 2 nights. Overall, for the location, the comfort, & the price, this is a decent place to stay for a couple of nights in Johannesburg.

The only downside is that they didn’t have wifi when I arrived as they were still trying to get it fixed. Luckily, I bought a sim card at the airport beforehand. The next day, the front desk did notify me that wifi was back online so I was able to connect.

Walk back into memory lane I got to understand Johannesburg better...through the art collection in the room I was sleeping in.

We got lost in the morning trying to find our car in the parking lot. Not knowing how to exit as there were no clear instructions on how to do that. Leaving my room to the parking lot felt like I was walking into a maze. Having to find the front desk and security staff to open the gate for me.

For me this is the best Hotel for the Maboneng Lifestyle, I have recently stayed on the 26 May 23, On arrival I was met by a lady at reception she gave me my keys and went with me to open my room, the bad thing was the light that was off on the Corido and she did say it will be fixed, later I Met Bonga by the LIFT and told him about the light, 5 min later Bonga had fixed it, Room was clean with coffee Amenities, What more could you want from them because you are there to Party not Sleep , the Hotel is best enough to provide you the safety you need, Can you guys put WIFI maan no ways remember we take lots of pictures. Bonga is awesome maan and so are the ladies I saw. I will definitely go back again

Standard with great amenities, not the best location for solo female or international travellers.

The room was a decent sizes. It was clean and had the amenities you’d expect: towels, toiletries a decent hairdryer and bedding. The building’s facilities were a strong pull factor too.

The location. I ultimately ended up leaving and staying in Sandton. Maboneng is a vibrant and culturally brilliant location, but I missed the freedom of walking and experiencing the city as a solo female traveller in the are the ways I am able in Cape Town and Johannesburg. So ultimately booked a hotel room in Sandton in order to guarantee that experience. Also, the guidance they give you prior to arrival, whilst super necessary when you’re making a late night commute to the hotel can feel a tad menacing. Certainly puts things into perspective.

A hotel, but art.

The hotel is well located, restaurants scattered downstairs with so much to chose from. Art galleries, street art, and photography can be found on the whole street. It has amazing art and the whole vibe feels artsy. It's a very convenient location if you're going to be in and out of town

There was always loud music from the restaurants downstairs, especially at night. If you want a quiet night's sleep this is definitely not the place for that, unless if you sleep at 4AM. The parking was an extra fee, cheap, but still inconveniently extra.
